It’s finally Friday, everyone! Christmas is right around the corner and this pretty much sums up how a lot of college students are feeling:
These next few days are going to require mass amounts of notecards, brain power, post-it notes, and BUCKWHEAT OATS.
Buckwheat oats have lots of digestible protein and fiber. They also contain great amounts of manganese and magnesium. Plus, they’re equally delicious and easy to dress up! Here’s a recipe for Christmas buckwheat oats with green tea!
Christmas Buckwheat Oats
1/3 cup Bob’s Red Mill Creamy Buckwheat
1 cup green tea
1/4 cup vegan vanilla cake mix
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp matcha powder
Raw sugar or maple syrup for topping
- Add buckwheat, cake mix, and vanilla to green tea.
- If preparing on stove top, boil green tea and stir in buckwheat, cake mix, and vanilla. Cook on low heat until thickened, stirring occasionally. If using microwave, heat for about 4 minutes stirring halfway.
- Top oats with matcha powder and taste the Christmas!
